Happy Camp Canyon Miles & Wide Open Skies
Join us for a grounding day out at Happy Camp Canyon Regional Park, a hidden gem of rolling grasslands, oak groves, and expansive canyon views just outside the city.
This ~8-mile adventure offers a steady, moderate challenge along a wide canyon trail, with gentle elevation gain and plenty of space to drop into rhythm. Expect big skies, quiet stretches, and the kind of landscape that invites both connection and introspection. The route winds through a 3,000-acre wilderness area known for wildflowers, birdlife, and the occasional bobcat sighting.
We’ll move at a conversational pace, with time to pause, take in the views, and connect, whether that’s with new faces, familiar community, or just yourself.
✨ What to expect:
• ~8 miles, moderate effort (approx. 4 hours moving time)
• Wide fire roads + gradual climbs
• Open terrain with minimal shade. Come prepared
• A supportive, inclusive group experience
Bring:
Water (at least 2L), snacks/lunch, sun protection, sturdy shoes
This is one of those hikes that reminds you how good it feels to move your body, breathe deeply, and be part of something simple and real.
